Back to the Future

This weekend we celebrated Raphael and our friend Sarah's birthday, 80s style at Club Twenty Twenty in Santa Monica with the Fast Times band, which featured a group of four musicians (one dressed as Devo, another as Spicoli) playing 80s hits.

Basically it was a night of bad clothing, good music--very rad. To get into the spirit of things, Raphael sported his Thunder Cats t-shirt and denim blazer, while I took out the scrunchy for a Pebble's look, put on my retro plastic earrings and a Madonna lacy top.

Here are some photos, at one point I can be spotted on stage.

I just don't get it. Why do you "young people" say that it was a time of bad fashion? We looked good, darnit! I love big hair and bigger earings. It was such a simple time. No internet or cell phones. We had great music and tight clothing. Gosh, I loved my high school years.

Aw I'm sorry to insult your high school style V. I actually don't mind the 80s era of clothing and had fun dressing in bright colors and frilly outfits when I was younger, which is why so many "young people" have 80s nights parties like this, we just like to pretend we're too cool for school and make fun of it while also dancing and having a great time. It's a catch 22.

Loving the flashback. However, how come I didn't see crimped hair? Oh hell... you folks cheated.
