In San Fran from Sat to Tuesday!
I've been to California several times now, but never to San Francisco. And everyone keeps telling me that I'll love it, since it's like the New York City of the west coast.

I'm staying in the downtown area at the Warwick Regis, which looks really old fashioned and pretty.

While there I'm going to see Alcatraz and go to a wine tour in Sonoma, all the fun touristy stuff.

Tara - Thanks for the shout out. The Warwick Regis is supposed to be nice. Rooms are teeny-tiny, supposedly. Not too different from some of the places in NYC.

It has been really warm here, recently. Remember to bring LAYERS...including lots of sweaters/coats. It gets chilly here on most nights when the fog rolls in. There can be a 10-15 degree farenheit difference between day and night!! Be prepared.

Have a great time and if you want or need any suggestions feel free to contact me (nc_state_gal@yahoo.com)!! Oh and just be aware that the SF marathon/half-marathon is going on in the city on Sunday and the traffic in the downtown area will be tied up for a major part of the morning!
