My favorite academy award winning actor is Robert DeNiro

Robert has won 2 Oscars: Best Actor in 1980 for "Raging Bull." Best Supporting Actor for "The Godfather, part II."

He's also been in such Academy prestigous films like "The Deer Hunter," "Taxi Driver," "Cape Fear," "The Untouchables," "Backdraft," "Awakenings" and "Goodfellas."
Some may think of Bobby has a stereotyped role as a mafia man, but he has proven to be very versatile. He starred in the comedy "Midnight Run," which he costarred with Charles Grodin. "Meet The Parents." He has also been in many other comedies like "Were No Angels," and "Wag the Dog." He was also nominated for best actor in 1990 for the drama Awakenings," where he costarred with best supporting actor Robin Willams. Finally Robert DeNiro has also been in romantic movies like "Stanley and Iris," where he starred with Jane Fonda. Action films like "Ronin," "Heat," "The Score" and "15 Minutes"

Robert DeNiro is the MAN!!! "Are you talkin to me?" - DeNiro (Taxi Driver, 1976)

My Favorite Winning Actress is Katharine Hepburn

Hepburn is the most awarded actress with 4 Best Actress Academy Awards, more then any other actress for "Lion in Winter," "Morning Glory," "On Golden Pond," and "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner." Her career is one that refuses to stay in an era, it spans over many decades. An actress who let herself grow old before the cameras eyes. On June 1999 she was Ranked #1 woman in the AFI's '50 greatest movie legends'.

With a mind and will of her own both on screen and off, Katharine Hepburn has become a role model to women worldwide. She was a success from the start after her first role in "Bill of Divocement" and later winning her first academy award for "Morning Glory" where she played a young ambitious actress. Later she became a little too extreme for hollywood, afterall, she wasn't the typical actress, she wasn't silly, blond or a bombshell. She was a Bryn Mawr graduate, liberal, tough, classy and wore the pants (literally). She was later put on a black list. Despite starring in the famous screwball comedy "Bringing Up Baby," which wasn't considered a hit back in 1933.

She took her career in her own hands and bought the film rights to the play she was in "The Philadelphia Story." Which she was nominated for Best Actress and the film for best picture. They won niether but Jimmy Stewart did for his supporting role. But the film helped to but her back on the right track. She continued to star in roles that proclaimed strong female characters like in "Woman of the Year." She is also known for her romance with the great academy award winning actor, Spencer Tracy. Who she costarred with in numerous movies, including "Woman of the Year," "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," and "Adam's Rib."

(Ms. Hepburn never attended an Academy Awards ceremony; in 1974, however, she surprised the Oscar attenders to their feet to present producer Lawrence Weingarten with the Thalberg Award.)
